The Central Park of Puerto Plata has become one of the most important meeting points in Puerto Plata. This beautiful park is also recognized by all Dominicans as the Plaza de la Independencia.

Cigars are made individually by craftsmen, who roll as many as 300 a day. The Dominican Republic exports nearly 60 million cigars annually. The main markets for Dominican cigars are the United States and western Europe. There are several opportunities to visit cigar factories if you are visiting the Central region of the Dominican Republic.

We will also include a visit to an impressive amber and larimar factory, where you will be able to see live how these beautiful jewels are made.

Fortaleza San Felipe is one of the most important colonial military structures in the Caribbean, converted into a museum, was built by the Spanish in the 16th century to defend the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Touring the fort you’ll discover the original cannons looking out over the Atlantic, ancient weapons and numerous hidden chambers.
